Eating Healthy All Day Long
By Rachel Lehrner & Leslie Ledford
I love being a healthy kid! Follow me and see how I make healthy food choices during my day!
I know to be a healthy kid, I need to start my day with a nutritious breakfast.
When I get to school, my class learns about healthy fruits and vegetables.
At lunch, I remember to choose to drink milk, because I know it will help make my bones strong as I grow.
At recess, I run and play with my friends.
When I come inside, I am thirsty so I know to drink lots of water.
I am hungry after my day at school. On the bus ride,
I can’t wait to get home and have my after school snack!
I eat an apple and a cheese stick, so I can have energy to play with my friends before dinner.
My Mom takes me to the grocery store to teach me how to pick colorful fruits and vegetables.
My family uses the vegetables to cook a healthy meal together.
Sometimes I get to choose what we eat for dinner. One of my favorite foods is pizza!
To make my pizza healthier, I add healthy toppings.
For dessert, one of my favorite treats is frozen yogurt. Yum!
Choosing healthy foods is easy and fun.
What foods do you eat to be healthy?
