Resolving Conflict By Being Respectful and Assertive
by Madison Kelly

I believe that I can resolve conflicts in my life by being respectful and assertive.

I resolve conflict by talking about my feelings directly and honestly.

I resolve conflict when I speak in a clear and even tone of voice, because my tone of voice also helps to communicate my feelings.

I resolve conflict when I am confident about myself and my ability to control my emotions.

I resolve conflict with my sister by using “I” messages to tell her how I feel about a situation rather than using blaming “you” statements.

I resolve conflict by apologizing to my Mom with kind words when I know I was rude to her.

I resolve conflict with my Dad by thinking about a new way to solve a problem instead of just complaining.

I believe that I can resolve conflicts by communicating in a respectful and assertive way.

I resolve conflicts in my life each day!
How about you?
Can you practice conflict resolution too?
