Gaining and Maintaining Independence Through Exercise
by Michael Siedlecki and Erika Eustaquio

I believe I can gain my independence back by setting goals for exercises.

I set a goal to do three arm exercises a day because I know that exercise strengthens my muscles.

I set a goal to stretch every morning and night because I will regain my flexibility.

I set a goal to learn more about my condition and what I can do about it everyday.

I set a goal to set aside time for physical activity at least 3 or 4 times a week with my friends.

I set a goal to talk to my nursing home friends about mobility and flexibility because I believe we can become more independent.

I set a goal with my best friend so we can both increase our mobility.

I believe I can regain independence by setting goals each day.

Summary
I have made the decision to gain and maintain my independence!
How about YOU?
Have you decided too?
