Setting Goals to Manage Stress for a Healthy Mind and Body
by Andy Bowyer

I believe that I can change my stress management habits by setting goals to engage in healthy habits every day such as exercising.

I manage stress by setting a goal to get 8 hours of sleep because I know that getting an adequate amount of sleep decreases your levels of stress by allowing your brain to recharge to better tackle stressors during the day.

I manage stress by setting a goal to box 3 times a week at the gym that I work at because I know that being physically active decreases your stress levels due to the production of endorphins.

I manage stress by setting goals to eat a more balanced diet because I know that eating healthy foods will help reduce stress levels by providing me with energy to better cope with stressors.

I manage stress by setting goals to talk to my friends about any disagreements that we have because I know that if conflicts build we will experience higher levels of stress.

I manage stress by setting a goal to spend time with a group of my friends at least once a week because socializing helps keep your mind off stressors such as school work and has been proven to reduce depression and anxiety.

I manage my stress by setting a goal to volunteer at the local animal shelter because I know that interaction with animals can help decrease stress levels and has also been proven to increase cognitive processes.

I believe that I can make improvements in my stress management by setting goals to make time for healthy habits and interaction with friends everyday.

Summary
I have made the decision to manage my stress through healthy lifestyle choices!
How about YOU?
Will you manage stress too?
