My Hands Keep My World Healthy
By Mary Richardson and Alli Weiner

My hands turn off the lights to save energy.
My hands turn off the water when I’m done using the sink.
My hands steer my bike when I ride instead of taking a car.
My hands clip the clothes on the clothesline so we don’t use the dryer.
My hands flip the paper so we use both sides.
My hands refill a re-usable water bottle.
My hands can plant a tree to produce healthy air.
My hands hold re-usable bags at the grocery store instead of plastic bags.
My hands place unused food in the compost to make more soil.
My hands build toys using recycled materials instead of buying new ones.
