In a magical land far away, there is a girl who has a magic ring which leads her to discover an undersea kingdom. In this kingdom, a boy who likes to feed birds comes face-to-face with a dragon. A king decides to put a tax on rainbows because his throne is lumpy. Throughout each of these adventures, lessons are learned.

Stella and Sam spend the day at the sea. Sam has never been before so he asks Stella plenty of questions. Stella tells her brother all about starfish, moon shells, sharks, and sea monsters. Then Sam finally gets in the water.

Dad and the twins hop into their car to grab some lunch at a restaurant. On the way, they drive through mud puddles so now it's time for a car wash!As the car enters the car wash, something mysterious happens. Oh boy, the twins are in for a big adventure!

A flashback through time of the exciting past of a child's backyard. The child's imagination runs wild as he visualizes the various turns of the changing land and the people which were effected.

Laura and her family are moving, so they are coming to visit the Manzanar War Relocation Center one last time. Years ago, this center was used to house anyone living in the United States that were of Japanese descent. These people were forced to leave their homes and come to the center because Japan bombed the United States. The center is bare now except for all of the memories and the cemetary, including her grandfather's grave.

A little girl dreams about a secret house by the sea. She wishes that she could live there with her doll.

When a raging storm destroys the sand dunes that several animals and plants called home, a community works together to restore the dunes in a most creative way. Includes an author's note about the ecology of the coastal sand dunes and what is being done to preserve them.
