<text>A Walk Through Nature With Our Senses
By Amanda Beckett and Jenelle Via

On a hot summer day there’s lots to hear, taste,
touch, smell and see. Come along and explore all
of the senses with me!

tocar, a oler y a ver. ¡Venga adelante y explore todos los
sentidos conmigo!

I step outside and my eyes see beautiful trees-
pink and purple blossoms, and bright green leaves.

I see birds soaring above me, floating with the wind.
They are swooping slower and lower, and land once again.

Flowers are blooming bright and tall.
I bend down to smell them with my nose, petals and all.

A butterfly flies by and its touch tickles my arm.
He is soft and quiet, he won’t cause any harm.

A soft breeze rolls through the air,
It feels cool against my cheek and ruffles my hair.

I walk through some tall grass and it tickles my feet,
It sways to the rhythm of the wind’s beat.

I see a squirrel run by, he must be in a hurry!
For such a little animal, he sure can scurry.

As I continue on my path, my ears hear a rustling sound,
It’s getting closer and closer, something burying in the ground.

I walk carefully and slowly to take a peek,
I see a rabbit and its bunnies are scampering around, as
if they were playing hide-and-seek.

After spending the day exploring nature with my
senses, I’m ready for a snack.
I pull out my fruit, I packed in my sack.

Mouth watering strawberries and blueberries, a tasty treat.
And my mom says, they are healthy to eat!
You just can’t beat something juicy and sweet!

A walk in the woods or in a park is a relaxing thing to do.
You can explore the world with your senses and relax
your mind too.
