Realistic and authentic photographs of active people model how to practice cognitive-motor skills leading to healthy behaviors and a higher quality of life. Bilingual story lines encourage people of all cultural backgrounds to interact and speak with others to promote healthy living in a variety of situations and environments. Electronic Texts for Health Literacy© demonstrate and promote the ongoing development of oral language, written language, and body language integration through Habits of Health and Habits of Mind (Ubbes, 2008).</text>

<text>Deciding to Be Healthier: Cholesterol Take Down
by Mary Tess Irvine and Katie Billman

I believe that I can change my high cholesterol by setting goals to engage in physical activity and eat a healthier diet.

I set a goal to exercise five hours a week because I know that aerobic exercise improves HDL (good) cholesterol.

I set a goal to eat fruits and vegetables everyday, because I believe that they will me help lower my LDL (bad) cholesterol.

I set a goal to eat a bowl of Cheerio’s every morning, because I know that starting my day off right with whole grains will help me to lower my cholesterol.

I set a goal to walk my dog with my wife every morning instead of four times a week.

I set a goal to have my wife help me prepare a grocery list because I know and believe that with her nutritional advise I will have a balanced diet.

I set a goal to eat breakfast with my wife every morning because skipping meals deregulate my metabolism.

I believe that I can lower my cholesterol by setting goals to eat a healthier diet and engage in more physical activity.

Summary
I set a goal to eat a healthier diet and to engage in physical activity.
How about YOU?
Have you set a goal too?
